  • Synergistic Effects of Organic Materials and Clay on Maize Yield and Water Use Efficiency in Sandy Soil

Open Access•Xi Wang, Gu Zhou et al.•ARTICLE•Land Degradation and Development•2026

Most physicochemical properties of soil organic matter (SOM) enhancement are related to soil structure. In poorly structured sandy soil, modifying the mechanical composition may be a prerequisite for effective SOM management and crop yield improvement. This study investigated the effects of organic materials and introduced clay (Quaternary red clay soil with 38.5% clay) on soil water dynamics, maize growth, root morphology, and water use efficien…

Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, its Middle East policy has undergone three stages: initial rise, elevated influence, and adjustment. With the outbreak of a new round of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on October 7, 2023, the geopolitical landscape in the Middle East has significantly shifted, marked by deepening divisions within the Arab world, challenges to US strategy, and the expansion of China’s diplomatic space. This s…

  • Monetary Policy, Investor Sentiment, and the Asymmetric Jump Risk of Chinese Stock Market

Open Access•Jia Wang, Wang Jia et al.•ARTICLE•IEEE Transactions on Computational…•2024

To investigate the impacts of monetary policies on the jump risk of Chinese stock market, we introduce them into an exponential generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity with autoregressive jump intensity (EGARCH-ARJI) model. A new jump model, i.e., the EGARCH-ARJI model with monetary policy (EGARCH-AM), is constructed. Moreover, investor sentiment is considered to investigate the interaction effect of a monetary policy and invest…

  • Dynamic Dependence and Hedging of Stock Markets

Open Access•Jia Wang, Wang Jia et al.•ARTICLE•IEEE Transactions on Computational…•2024

To study the asymmetric jump behaviors of the stock markets, we propose a novel autoregressive conditional jump intensity (ARJI)—generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity (GARCH) model with a Markov chain. Compared with the existing models, it considers the asymmetric effects of the positive and negative shocks on jump volatilities. It is proposed to estimate the asymmetric jump volatilities of the stock markets in mainland China …

  • Analysis of the status quo and clinical influencing factors of the social cognitive impairment in deficit schizophrenia

    Open Access•Huang Cheng-bing, Huang Chengbing et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2024

There are significant social cognitive impairments in the perception of social information, judgment and resolution of social problems in deficit schizophrenia, which are closely related to negative symptoms and multidimensional neurocognitive dysfunction such as attention, learning, memory, brain information processing speed, cognitive flexibility, and functional executive power

  • Loss Aversion Robust Optimization Model Under Distribution and Mean Return Ambiguity

Open Access•Jia Wang, Wang Jia et al.•ARTICLE•IEEE Transactions on Computational…•2023

From the aspect of behavioral finance, which is an emerging area integrating human behavior into finance, this work studies a robust portfolio problem for loss-averse investors under distribution and mean return ambiguity. A loss-aversion distributionally-robust optimization model is constructed if the return distribution of risky assets is unknown. Then, under the premise that the mean returns of risky assets belong to an ellipsoidal uncertainty…

  • Examining the Effect of an Interdisciplinary Literacy Program on Student Learning

Open Access•Jia Wang, Wang Jia et al.•ARTICLE•The Urban Review•2022•References: 19

The literacy design collaborative (LDC) was created to support teachers in implementing college and career readiness standards. Teachers work collaboratively with coaches to further develop their expertise and design standards-driven, literacy-rich writing assignments within their existing curriculum across content areas. The current paper reports on early student academic outcome results from a multi-year mixed methods study of the implementatio…

  • The Impact of Different Coping Styles on Psychological Distress during the Covid-19

Open Access•Yi Ding, Xinchen Fu et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2021

The present study aimed to understand the impact of different coping methods endorsed by Chinese college students during COVID-19 through the examination of the mediating role of perceived stress. We recruited a total of 492 undergraduate students to complete an online survey from May to June 2020. The results of structural equation modeling indicated that perceived stress was a significant mediator in the association between different coping sty…

To do this, we review the literature on magnet schools, and cite results from a study based on semi-structured qualitative interviews conducted with participants affiliated with magnet schools who received federal funding to implement magnet programmes. Building on the theoretical model of collaborative school leadershi…

  • The effect of perceptual fluency on overcoming the interference of the More A–More B intuitive rule among primary school students

Ying Liu, Ru‐de Liu et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Educational Psychology•2020

The More A–More B intuitive rule has become a research hotspot in the field of mathematical education in recent years. The intuitive rule of More A–More B is often reflected in students’ responses to comparison tasks. In such tasks, students are asked to compare 2 objects that differ in a certain salient quantity A (where Al > A2) with respect to another quantity B (where B1 = B2 or B1 B2. In a series of 4 experiments, the present study examined …

  • Rejection Sensitivity Mediates the Relationship Between Social-Interpersonal Stressors and Depressive Symptoms in Military Context

Open Access•Wang Jia, Xiaotong Cheng et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2020

The findings suggest that interventions designed to desensitize individuals' high levels of rejection sensitivity may help to decrease their risk of depressive symptoms in the military environment. Rejection sensitivity is an important mechanism underpinning the development of depressive symptoms. Other theoretical and applied implications for prevention of depressive symptoms in the military context are discussed
