  • What it means to be “mixed”: Social identity typology in persons with multiple racial–ethnic group memberships

  • The relation between contact experiences and dual identity among German residents with a Turkish or Kurdish identity

    We present secondary analyses of data collected with German residents with Turkish and Kurdish ancestry ( n = 414), who represent the largest migrant groups in Germany. The majority of our sample of mostly second‐generation migrants exhibited integrated identity profiles, with high levels of both ethnic (Turkish or Kurdish) and national (German) identification. National and ethnic identification were unrelated, and both were predicted by the freq…

  • A Case Study: Utilizing My Faith and Racial Minority Status to Deepen Clinical Work

    In this article, I briefly describe how my upbringing in the Chinese/Chinese-American church impacted my religious development and my passion for psychology. I discuss a clinical case which highlights the ways I use my own racial minority status and Christian faith to understand transference and counter-transference with another minority, faith-based client.
