Association of daily step counts and intensity in obesity among older Chinese women
Higher daily step counts and intensity appear associated with a lower risk of obesity, although daily step counts is not associated with BMI. For women aged 60-70, aiming for over 9,135 steps/day is suggested. Adjusting step counts and intensity according to individual circumstances is advisable
Investigating the influence of self‐leadership on moral sensitivity in medical students
Most previous studies have focused mainly on the influence of external interventions (such as moral climate, moral education, and training) on students' moral sensitivity. However, few studies have explored the impact of self‐leadership on promoting moral sensitivity. Based on social cognitive theory, this study aimed to explore the relationship between self‐leadership and moral sensitivity among medical college students and compare the differenc…
Soil Phosphorus Transport in Response to Climate Change at Mid‐High Latitudes Under Intensive Agriculture
Phosphorus (P) is an important soil element for sustaining plant growth and the integrity of terrestrial ecosystems, and the soil P cycle is strongly influenced by climate change and agricultural activities. However, little is known about how soil P has evolved with climate change and intensive agriculture at mid‐high latitudes, where the soil P cycle is sensitive to climate change. To answer this question, an ecohydrological model (EcoHAT‐P) dri…
Intervention targeting different visual attention span components in Chinese children with developmental dyslexia
The Relationship between Nkx2.1 and DNA Oxidative Damage Repair in Nickel Smelting Workers
Background : Occupational nickel exposure can cause DNA oxidative damage and influence DNA repair. However, the underlying mechanism of nickel-induced high-risk of lung cancer has not been fully understood. Our study aims to evaluate whether the nickel-induced oxidative damage and DNA repair were correlated with the alterations in Smad2 phosphorylation status and Nkx2.1 expression levels, which has been considered as the lung cancer initiation ge…
