  • Changes in the upper water-column structure of the eastern equatorial Indian Ocean during 12.8–4.7 ka

Open Access•Pradyumna Singh, Arun Deo Singh et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2025•References: 109

  • The equatorial Indian Ocean upper water-column structure influenced by cross-basinal water exchange over the last ~40000 years

    Open Access•Ramanand Yadav, Sushant S Naik et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2022

  • Significant seasonal contrast in the Arabian Sea during deglaciation

Open Access•Pothuri Divakar Naidu, Nobuaki Niitsuma et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2019

  • Early- to late-Holocene contrast in productivity, OMZ intensity and calcite dissolution in the eastern Arabian Sea

    Open Access•Sushant S Naik, Shital P Godad et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2014•References: 1

The Oxygen Minimum Zone (OMZ) is a potential source of CO 2 to the atmosphere, and the extensive OMZ spread to 1.37 × 10 6 km 2 in the Northern Arabian Sea would be an important contributor to the CO 2 budget. In this perspective, we report here that the Eastern Arabian Sea experienced coeval increase in productivity and denitrification from ~7 to 0 kyr, which coincides with minimum dissolved oxygen levels in bottom waters. In addition, during th…

  • Evaluation of the CaCO3 dissolution proxies in sediment cores from above the lysocline

    Open Access•Sushant S Naik, P Divakar Naidu•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2010

  • Nitrate records of a shallow ice core from East Antarctica

    Open Access•C M Laluraj, Meloth Thamban et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2010•Cited by: 3

High-resolution records of nitrate (NO 3 − ), oxygen isotope (δ 18 O) and non-sea salt sulphate (nssSO 4 2− ) were studied using an ice core collected from central Dronning Maud Land in East Antarctica to identify the influence of environmental variability on accumulation of NO 3 − over the past 450 years. The results confirmed that multiple processes were responsible for the production and preservation of NO 3 − in Antarctic ice. Correlation bet…
