Taking Care of Companion Animals: Institutional Policies and Practices in Newfoundland and Labrador
Focusing on local government and non-governmental nonhuman animal welfare organizations, this paper reports survey results on institutional policies, interpretive frameworks, and practices regarding companion animals in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Everyone Does it: Unpaid Work in a Rural Peripheral Region
In this paper we document the extensive informal sector of unpaid productive labour in an isolated, peripheral area in Canada. The study is based on interviews with all adults in 250 households.
