Psychometric Evaluation of the Turkish Prolonged Grief Assessment–Child Version
(DSM-5-TR) has highlighted the need for developmentally appropriate, validated measures. Many measures for bereaved youth predate the DSM-5-TR criteria and do not fully align with them. We evaluated the psychometric properties of the Turkish Prolonged Grief Assessment-Child Version (PGA-C) in 436 participants aged 8-17 years, 6-36 months after parental loss. The PGA-C had α = .92 and a two-week intraclass correlation coefficient of .735. A one-fa…
Development and validation of the somatic symptom disorder scale
This study developed and validated the Somatic Symptom Disorder Scale (SSDS) to assess Somatic Symptom Disorder (SSD)–related psychological symptom severity consistent with DSM-5. Psychometric analyses were conducted using three samples: (a) an outpatient clinical group ( N = 314), (b) a matched nonclinical sample for known-groups validity ( N = 80), and (c) a separate nonclinical university sample for test–retest reliability ( N = 73). Reliabili…
The Bipolar Disorder Medication Adherence Battery
The BD-MAB offers a comprehensive, clinically actionable assessment of adherence determinants and behavior in bipolar disorder, with initial evidence for reliability, validity, and practical change metrics to guide patient-level monitoring
Serial mediation of illness perception and beliefs about medicines in the relationship between patient satisfaction and medication adherence
This study examined the effect of patient satisfaction on medication adherence through serial mediation of Self Regulatory Model (SRM) components which are illness perception and beliefs about medicines in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and ankylosing spondylitis (AS). The 222 outpatients ( nRA = 112; nAS = 110) were administered a sociodemographic form, the Medication Adherence Report Scale, the Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire, t…

Factors Affecting Turkish Dog Owners’ Breed Choices, and Their Associations with Socio-demographic and Dog-Related Variables
The aim of this study was to identify factors affecting dog owners' breed choices at the time of acquisition and whether they were associated with socio-demographics and dog-related variables (size, temperament, function). Answers (n = 581) to a questionnaire formed the data for this study. In order to determine which factors affected breed choice, a principal component analysis (PCA) was conducted. This revealed that owners were influenced by ad…
