This qualitative study of 14 Southern Baptist mother-daughter dyads uses grounded theory to explore the attitudes these mothers and daughters hold toward sexuality, religiosity, and spirituality, in addition to how they communicate with each other about these topics. The purpose of this qualitative study was to examine the ways in which Hispanic (of Mexican descent) mothers and fathers viewed the role of fathers in families. To elicit these views, seven focus group discussions were conducted with 28 spouses/relationship partners. Consistency of Patterns of Drug Use
Although there is much descriptive research concerning frequency of drug use, few studies have reported quantitative data on patterns of drug use. 33 college students with experience with a variety of drugs were studied. Alcohol and some legal drugs were included as well as drugs of abuse. Guttman scalogram analyses yielded very high coefficients of reproducibility (.89 to .98).
