Novoe Biksenteevo Hoards: Typology and X-ray Fluorescence Analysis
In 2022-2024, research in the Eastern Cross-Kama area in the territory of the Novoye Biksenteevo village revealed two hoards of bronze items from the Lomovatovskaya culture: 54 items in the first hoard and 12 in the second, a significant portion of which consisted of composite rattling jewelry. X-ray fluorescence analysis of these finds was carried out at the Collective Use Centre of IA RAS. Most of the items were made of tin-lead and tin bronze;…
Strontium isotopic composition in human skeletal remains as a reflection of migration and mobility: Variety of Research Formats and Limitations
The article presents a brief overview of the research into strontium isotopic composition of bioarchaeological materials and variations of bioavailable strontium, as well as several large generalizing database resources (Isotòpia, IsoArcH, CIMA), which provide published open access individual data accompanied by context charac-teristics and geographical coordinates. The datasets allow not only discussion of migration activity, but also ob-servati…

Completely Preserved Cremation From a Jar Burial in the Early Medieval Bervenets Kurgan Cemetery
Landscape development history of the Zabolotsky peat bog in the context of initial settlement of the Dubna River lowland (Upper Volga basin)
Zabolotsky peat bog is a unique biospheric and cultural-historical archive located in the north of the Moscow Region on the territory of the Dubna River lowland. Despite the advances in studying the Zabolotsky region, the question of reconstruction of the primitive population habitat remains unresolved. Until recently, it has been be-lieved that in the Late Valdai period, the Dubna River lowland was covered by the waters of an extensive glacier-d…

Initial Development of the Zabolotye Region Based on the Recent Geoarchaeological Studies
Ethnicity and Cultural Pluralism in the Context of the State Policy
