Psychotherapists who have received minimal training in neuropsychology do not consider cognitive rehabilitation among the treatment options for their clients who have mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI). Head and Brain Injuries Experienced by African American Women Victims of Intimate Partner Violence
Regardless of ethnicity, traumatic brain injury (TBI) is one of the most serious, prevalent, and often undiagnosed results of intimate partner violence. Greater severity of violence, coupled with inadequate health care, places battered African American women at increased risk for head injuries. Job distributions and salary data m the relatively new field of computers were examined for men and women in three ethnic groups. Significant differences existed in the job levels and salaries among the six ethnic-gender groups. In general, women were over-employed in low-level jobs, whereas men were over-employed in high-level jobs; those patterns did not hold up for all of the ethnic-gender groups.
