Zgodnjekrščanska marmorna plošča iz Šmihela v Vipavski dolini
Prispevek predstavlja zgodnjekrščansko marmorno nagrobno ploščo, odkrito leta 2022 v strugi potoka Ozeljanšček pri Šmihelu. Ohranjen je del latinskega napisa in relief z upodobitvijo orante, ki jo spremljajo krščanski simboli, kot sta monogram hi-ro in ptici. Napis navaja žensko, “pokopano četrti dan pred septembrskimi nonami” (tj. 2. septembra). Slogovne in ikonografske značilnosti ploščo povezujejo z zgodnjekrščanskimi delavnicami v Akvileji, d…
Jelenšek nad Godovičem
Na sedlu severno od gradišča na Jelenšku nad Godovičem pri Idriji sta iskalca “ajdovskega zaklada z Jelenška” naletela na železnodobne grobove z bogatimi pridatki. Odkritju je leta 1993 sledilo zaščitno arheološko izkopavanje. Raziskanih je bilo 37 planih žganih grobov.
