Problematizing ‘pro-feminist’ depictions of female on male rape: American Horror Story ’s ‘Rape of the Monsignor’
Dramatized depictions of female on male rape, in inverting the conventional gendered rape binary of male assailant/female victim, are commonly regarded as subverting gender norms, and are thus celebrated as pro-feminist. I present a Foucauldian problematization of this rationale – arguing that, through a process of over-writing gender, inversion of the norm masks a ‘reversion to the norm’. In diesem Beitrag werden die ersten Ergebnisse eines kürzlich beendeten Sechsjahresprogramms kurz vorgestellt. Die Informationen unserer Vorgänger wurden durch zahlreiche Daten ergänzt. Besonders zu bemerken ist der Nachweis zahlreicher Pfostenabdrücke, die von Strukturen eines Oberbaus aus vergänglichem Material stammten, sowie die Entdeckung eines Keramikgefäßes, das Ähnlichkeiten mit den britischen „ Carinated Bowls“ aufweist. Durante la ultima decada, el Proyecto Arqueologico Porco-Potosi ha investigado el centro minero boliviano de Porco para examinar la produccion deplata bajo los gobiernos de los Inka, los espanoles y la Republica. Dangerous Work: The Gendered Nature of Bullying in the Context of Higher Education
This article discusses results from a research project which set out to investigate gender differences in the nature and experience of bullying within the higher education sector. Gender differences emerged in the form and perception of bullying as well as in target responses.
