The first modern systematic excavations in the South Stoa at Corinth in 2015 revealed much about the history of this area of the later Forum and about the stoa itself prior to the installation of the Eutychia mosaic in room C (the so-called Agonotheteion) around A.D. 150. This paper discusses the findings of a research project (funded by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation) which set out to explore the ways in which family assistance orders (Children Act 1989) are used in providing help to families after separation and divorce.
