  • The association between semantic network structure and creativity: Evidence from behavioral and resting-state fMRI data

Tengbin Huo, Kaixiang Zhuang et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2026

  • Regional grey matter volume in the posterior cingulate cortex predicts positive risk‐taking: A moderation model

Open Access•Di Liu, Mengcheng Ji et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of Psychology•2023

Positive risk‐taking is a crucial element of individual creativity and social development. However, little is known regarding the relation between individual neural differences and positive risk‐taking. In addition, critical thinking (CT) and gender have been proven to be two important individual‐specific factors associated with risk‐taking behaviour, and different levels of CT and gender may have diverse effects on the relationship between brain…

  • Resting-state functional connectome predicts individual differences in depression during Covid-19 pandemic

Yu Mao, Qunlin Chen et al.•ARTICLE•American Psychologist•2022

Stressful life events are significant risk factors for depression, and increases in depressive symptoms have been observed during the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of this study is to explore the neural makers for individuals' depression during COVID-19, using connectome-based predictive modeling (CPM). Then we tested whether these neural markers could be used to identify groups at high/low risk for depression with a longitudinal dataset. The result…

  • The relation between semantic memory structure, associative abilities, and verbal and figural creativity

    Li He, Yoed N Kenett et al.•ARTICLE•Thinking & Reasoning•2021

Research has independently highlighted the roles of semantic memory and associative abilities in creative thinking. However, it remains unclear how these two capacities relate to each other, nor how they facilitate different creative thinking modalities, such as verbal and figural creativity. This study employed multiple cognitive tests and network science methodologies to shed light on the relationship between them. We constructed individual-bas…

  • The influence of personality traits and brain functional connectivity on social networks

Yiman Li, Cheng Liu et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2021
