  • Discrepancies in perceptions of PTSD symptoms among veteran couples

    Open Access•Kathleen M Grubbs, Kayla Knopp et al.•ARTICLE•Family Process•2025

Veteran and intimate partner perceptions of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) may differ, and little is known about how agreement or disagreement on symptom severity is related to relationship satisfaction. Veterans completed the PTSD Checklist for DSM‐5 (PCL‐5). Partners completed the collateral P…

    Open Access•Chandra E Khalifian, Madison K Titone et al.•ARTICLE•Family Process•2023

The present study examined the association between veterans' PTSD symptom severity and veterans' and partners' insomnia. Veterans ( n = 192) and their partners ( n = 192; tot…

  • Do older veterans experience change in posttraumatic cognitions following treatment for posttraumatic stress disorder

    Open Access•Stephanie Y Wells, Kristen H Walter et al.•ARTICLE•Psychological Trauma Theory…•2021

Given that reductions in overall negative cognitions are associated with lower clinician-administered PTSD scores 6 months after PE, clinicians could consider monitoring changes in these cognitions over the course of treatment. RT is not a recommended treatment approach to target NPCs in older adults with PTSD. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2022 APA, all rights reserved)
