Association of maternal longitudinal haemoglobin concentrations with adverse pregnancy outcomes
Background: Maternal haemoglobin (Hb) is a potential biomarker of maternal and neonatal health. Little is known about trimester-specific associations between maternal Hb concentrations and adverse pregnancy outcomes. Here, we assessed the magnitude and shape of these associations and further estimated developmental trajectories of maternal Hb concentrations during pregnancy. Methods: In this prospective, observational cohort study, we enrolled pr…
Incidence and factors on anaemia during pregnancy in China
Background: As anaemia during pregnancy is common in China, we sought to investigate the incidence and influencing factors on maternal anemia in the northern part of China. Methods: We conducted a prospective cohort study from October 2020 to June 2024 at 13 hospitals in China, enrolling 18 416 pregnant women aged ≥18 years who had regular prenatal examinations, Their data (location, history of anaemia, and haemoglobin (Hb) test results) were col…
Association between knowledge of cervical cancer prevention and screening behaviors among women aged 20 to 49 years
Overall, our study demonstrated that the screening rate and knowledge level of cervical cancer among Chinese women still need to be improved. There was a significant association between knowledge scores and screening rates, regardless of region or area. Therefore, it is necessary to enhance the knowledge level of cervical cancer through intervention measures in order to promote regular cervical cancer screening
The Role of International Actors in the Negotiation Process Between the Colombian Government and the Farc-Ep
One of the major objectives of the Juan Manuel Santos ́ (2010-2018) administration was the consolidation and completion of the negotiation process for an agreement with the FARC-EP to end the armed conflict between these parts. To achieve this, it was necessary to mobilize and align the state apparatus, including foreign policy. The objective of this article is to determine the role played by the international community in the negotiation process…
Risk Factors for Macrosomia in Multipara
The increased incidence of macrosomia has caused an enormous burden after the transition from the almost 40-year one-child policy to the universal two-child policy in 2015 and further to the three-child policy in 2021 in China. However, studies on risk factors of macrosomia in multipara under the new fertility policy in China are limited. We aim to explore the incidence and risk factors for macrosomia in multipara to provide the scientific basis …
Association between Skin-to-Skin Contact Duration after Caesarean Section and Breastfeeding Outcomes
We aimed to explore the association between skin-to-skin contact (SSC) duration after caesarean sections (CSs) and breastfeeding outcomes. A prospective study was conducted in four hospitals in China during January and August 2021. A total of 679 participants with singleton pregnancy who delivered by elective CS after 37 gestational weeks using epidural or spinal anesthesia were included. Logistic regression was applied to assess the association …
