  • Indigenizing Restoration

    HERNÁNDEZ HERNÁNDEZ, Vogt Vogt•ARTICLE•Human Biology•2020

Climate change and human activities continue to result in negative environmental impacts that alter land productivity, ecosystem health, and their potential land uses. • Environmental Justice, Indigenous Knowledge Systems, and Native Hawaiians and Other Pacific Islanders

Michael S Spencer, Spencer Spencer et al.•ARTICLE•Human Biology•2020

HERNÁNDEZ HERNÁNDEZ, Akilimalib Akilimalib et al.•ARTICLE•International Perspectives on…•2020

  • The Abandonment of Butrint

HERNÁNDEZ HERNÁNDEZ•ARTICLE•Hesperia The Journal of the…•2019•Cited by: 2

This article examines Butrint under Venetian and Ottoman rule during the period of its final settlement and subsequent abandonment, before the start of archaeological excavations (A.D. 1386-1928). On the basis of excavated Venetian houses and later burials at the site of the Roman forum, it is argued that the Republic of Venice abandoned the Butrint headland after Süleyman the Magnificent sacked the city in 1537 and that Butrint was never resettl…
