An Embedded Fragment in Josephus' Caesarian Acta (Aj 14.196-212)
The origins, presentation, and organization of a series of Caesarian decisions regarding Jews that are quoted by Josephus in AJ 14.196-212 have long puzzled scholars. This article argues that they were earlier decisions quoted in a later senate decree, probably of 11 April 44 b.c
