  • An innovative course emphasizing real-time digital signal processing applications

    Open Access•S M Kuo, G Miller et al.•ARTICLE•IEEE Transactions on Education•1996

This paper presents an innovative undergraduate real-time digital signal processing (DSP) course, Digital Signal Processors, which emphases hands-on experiments and practical applications. It enables students to experiment with sophisticated DSP applications to augment the theoretical, conceptual, and analytical material provided in their first DSP course, Digital Filter Design. The inclusion of both software and hardware developmental experience…

  • Prevalence of sickle cell trait and HbC-trait in Blacks from low socioeconomic conditions

    E J Hicks, Greg Miller et al.•ARTICLE•American Journal of Public Health•1978•References: 17

In the present investigation we did not observe age or sex differentials in the prevalence of sickle cell or HbC-traits in Black males or females of low socioeconomic status. When our data were compared to those of others, we found no evidence for a socioeconomic differential in the prevalence of these traits
