  • Spatial patterns of Mental Health Act apprehensions in Toronto, Canada, 2014–2022

Open Access•Amber Gillespie, Jillian Stringer et al.•ARTICLE•Canadian Journal of Public Health•2024•Cited by: 1•References: 14

  • Characteristics of Disease Maps of Zoonoses

Inthuja Selvaratnam, Olaf Berke et al.•ARTICLE•Cartographica The International…•2022

  • A descriptive analysis of the spatio-temporal distribution of enteric diseases in New Brunswick, Canada

Open Access•James Valcour, James E Valcour et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2016

By using several different spatial and temporal methods a robust picture of the spatial and temporal distributions of enteric disease in New Brunswick was produced. Disease incidence for several reportable enteric pathogens displayed significant geographic clustering indicating that a spatially distributed risk factor may be contributing to disease incidence. Temporal analysis indicated peaks in disease incidence, including previously un-reported…

  • Mapping Dairy Cow Heat Stress in Southern Ontario—a Common Geographic Pattern From 2010–2012

KE Bishop-Williams, Olaf Berke et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Epidemiology and…•2015•Cited by: 1

In Southern Ontario, climate change has resulted in an increased occurrence of heat waves, causing heat stress among humans and livestock, with potentially fatal consequences. Heat waves are defined as three consecutive days of temperatures greater than or equal to 32°C. Maps visualizing the distribution of heat stress can provide information about related health risks and insight for control strategies. Weather data were collected from weather s…

  • Weather, Water Quality and Infectious Gastrointestinal Illness in Two Inuit Communities in Nunatsiavut, Canada

    Open Access•Sherilee L Harper, Victoria L Edge et al.•ARTICLE•EcoHealth•2011

  • Do patients with recurrent episodes of campylobacteriosis differ from those with a single disease event

Open Access•Julie Arsenault, André Ravel et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2011

These results may suggest the absence of durable immunity or clinical resilience following a first episode of campylobacteriosis and periodical re-exposure, at least among cases reported through the surveillance system

  • Predicting Geographical Human Risk of West Nile Virus–Saskatchewan, 2003 and 2007

Open Access•Tasha Epp, Tasha Y Epp et al.•ARTICLE•Canadian Journal of Public Health•2009•Cited by: 1•References: 11

  • Experience‐dependent recapture rates and reproductive success in male grey mouse lemurs ( Microcebus murinus )

    Open Access•Barthel Schmelting, E Zimmermann et al.•ARTICLE•American Journal of Physical…•2007•Cited by: 2•References: 39

Male mating tactics can vary according to the potential for scramble or contest competition but also as a consequence of individual characteristics, such as body condition and previous experience. The influence of experience, i.e., residency, on male recapture rates and reproductive success was studied in a population of free‐living grey mouse lemurs. Long‐term capture data from 320 individuals revealed that both sexes had very low recapture prob…
