  • Travelin’ stones

Open Access•Paula Jordão, Patrícia Jordão et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Lithic Studies•2024

The Oolitic chert is an important raw material for large blade production in Betic Cordillera (Spain) during 4th-3rd mill. BCE. These blades are part of a long-distance trade network of artefacts found in Chalcolithic settlements of southwestern Iberia. In Zambujal, the westernmost site with oolitic chert blades, with the source-area distance more than 500km, these utensils are included in the “import package” with remarkable implications for soc…

  • Raman microspectroscopy applied to flint provenance at the chalcolithic settlement of Zambujal (Torres Vedras, Portugal)

Open Access•Paula Jordão, Alexandra Guedes et al.•ARTICLE•Archaeometry•2022•Cited by: 1•References: 28

The mineralogical fingerprint of both archaeological and geological flint, measuring by Raman microspectroscopy the α‐quartz, and the minor elements was studied. Quartz crystallinity index, by XRD, was calculated in geological samples. An estimation of the degree of crystallinity through Raman analysis could be used to infer quartz crystallinity in archaeological materials. The evaluation of moganite content allowed a better differentiation among…

  • Validación de un cuestionario breve para detectar situaciones de violencia de género en las consultas clínicas

Open Access•María Pía Majdalani, María Alemán et al.•ARTICLE•Revista Panamericana de Salud…•2005

This research demonstrated the soundness of the brief questionnaire, in terms of its format, content, comprehensiveness, and reliability. This instrument can be used in clinical consultations to detect situations of psychological violence, physical violence, sexual violence, and sexual abuse during childhood
