Open Access•Hongsen Zhang, Kun Qian et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Education•2026

With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, its applications in medicine have grown increasingly widespread. In particular, AI has shown significant potential within residency education. This review examines current uses of AI in residency training, focusing on innovative educational models, curriculum design, outcome assessment, and existing challenges. By analyzing recent research across medical specialties, the discu…

  • Platformativity of Desire

    Open Access•Kun Qian•ARTICLE•Humanities•2026•References: 11

This article examines labor relations in China’s entertainment live-streaming, where the state and private companies jointly regulate desire to secure political control and economic profit. Using Hao Wu’s documentary People’s Republic of Desire as a case study, I analyze how physical and affective labor are converted into emotional commodities circulated across platforms. Drawing on Jean-François Lyotard’s concept of the “libidinal economy,” I ar…

  • Semantic Disentangling for Audiovisual Induced Emotion

Open Access•Qun-Xi Dong, Wang Zheng et al.•ARTICLE•IEEE Transactions on Computational…•2025

Emotions regulation play an important role in human behavior, but exhibit considerable heterogeneity among individuals, which attenuates the generalization ability of emotion models. In this work, we aim to achieve robust emotion prediction through efficient disentanglement of affective semantic representations. In detail, the data generation mechanism behind observations from different perspectives is causally set, where latent variables that re…

  • Information Diffusion Prediction With Augmented Diffusion Dependency and Multigranularity Temporal Influence

Open Access•Zekun Tao, Ze‐Kun Tao et al.•ARTICLE•IEEE Transactions on Computational…•2025

Information diffusion prediction plays a pivotal role in the analysis of information propagation across social networks. Many existing methods rely on learning social homophily solely from users’ social connections as a single diffusion dependency to drive information diffusion. Moreover, these approaches often capture temporal influence from cascades within discrete time intervals, which might be inadequate in describing complex diffusion proces…

Open Access•Bin Hu, Lixian Zhu et al.•ARTICLE•IEEE Transactions on Computational…•2024

With great pride and enthusiasm, we present the inaugural edition of IEEE Transactions on Computational Social Systems (TCSS) for 2024. Reflecting on the year gone by, 2023 stands as a hallmark of academic excellence and prolific output, wherein our journal has successfully disseminated a substantial volume of scholarly work—301 articles encompassing approximately 3600 pages, distributed across six distinct issues

  • A Novel Intelligence Evaluation Framework

Open Access•Jian Shen, Kexin Zhu et al.•ARTICLE•IEEE Transactions on Computational…•2024

Intelligence evaluation is a desirable intelligent application for sensing and interaction in various scenarios, e.g., education, office, and the aviation industry. For example, identifying gifted students, who learn faster and more efficiently than general students due to their neurophysiological advantages, and teaching different students according to their intelligence are urgent requirements in school education. However, current intelligence …

  • Large-scale EV charging scheduling considering on-site PV generation by combining an aggregated model and sorting-based methods

Open Access•Kun Qian, Reza Fachrizal et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Cities and Society•2024

Large-scale electric vehicle (EV) charging scheduling is highly relevant for the growing number of EVs, while it can be complex to solve. A few existing studies have applied a two-stage scheduling approach to reduce computation time. The first stage approximates the optimal overall load, and the second prioritizes the charging. This work also attempts to apply such an approach for large-scale EV charging considering on-site photovoltaic (PV) gene…

  • Social inclusion regulates the effect of social exclusion on adaptation to emotional conflict

Xianxin Meng, Yi Luo et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2024

  • Can a Holistic View Facilitate the Development of Intelligent Traditional Chinese Medicine? A Survey

Open Access•Guihua Tian, Kun Qian et al.•ARTICLE•IEEE Transactions on Computational…•2023

Intelligent traditional Chinese medicine (ITCM) is an emerging interdisciplinary subject. It aims to efficiently and precisely promote the prevention and treatment of diseases and health management in Chinese medicine clinical practice via the combination of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) fundamentals and artificial intelligence technologies. Presently, it is experiencing dramatic growth in recent years. On the one hand, a holistic view, as a…

  • Global, regional, and national incidence and mortality of neonatal sepsis and other neonatal infections, 1990–2019

Open Access•Jie Li, Lin Shen et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2023

Background: Neonatal infections, especially neonatal sepsis, are one of the major causes of incidence and mortality in pediatrics. However, the global burden of neonatal sepsis and other neonatal infections (NSNIs) remains unclear. Methods: From the 2019 global disease burden study, we collected annual incident cases, deaths, age-standardized incidence rates (ASIRs), and age-standardized deaths rates (ASDRs) of NSNIs in the past 30 years. Analysi…
