Reinforcement for Skinner
Trials with tedium and titillation
Place Alternation in Satiated Rats
When tested in a +-maze in which response and place alternation could be opposed, 20 non-deprived rats displayed a significant place alternation tendency. This appears contrary to one of M. E. Thompson's theoretical assumptions
Spontaneous Alternation following Long Intertrial Intervals
32 satiated rats were given spontaneous alternation tests with 0-, 6-, and 18-hr. intertrial intervals. Significant alternation, displayed for all intervals, is interpreted as support for a modification of Walker's theory relating alternation and the consolidation process
Relation between Seizure Latency and Maze Activity in Rats
A high positive correlation was found between audiogenic seizure latency and subsequent activity in a complex maze for 22 rats. The relationship appeared to be independent of the type of seizure, and it disappeared as familiarity with the maze increased. The maze activity of rats who failed to display seizure could not be predicted by considering them to be Ss with very long latencies
