THIS STUDY1 forms part of a series of papers researching into the political mentality of Russia and the countries of the CIS, using a technique devised by Petrenko and Mitina to construct a semantic space for political parties.2 The method is based on Osgood's semantic differential technique3 and Kelly's repertory grid technique, and incorporates theories on personal construct psychology and multidimensional scaling.4 It allows the researcher to …
