  • End-of-Life Care and Health Care Spending for Medicare Beneficiaries With Dementia in Accountable Care Organizations

Open Access•Jessica Zhang, Jessica J Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•JAMA Health Forum•2025

Using nationally representative data on beneficiaries with dementia at EOL, this quasi-experimental study found no evidence that EOL care processes, outcomes, or spending changed with ACO entry for Medicare fee-for-service beneficiaries vs non-ACO beneficiaries. Open Access•Tony H Liu, Tony Liu et al.•ARTICLE•Developmental Psychobiology•2025•References: 87

This study recorded heart rate variability (HRV) among a sample of young children aged 3–7 years old ( N = 45; 42% gi…

Open Access•Sonja Wicklum, Tia Black et al.•ARTICLE•Canadian Journal of Public Health•2025•References: 36

There is limited published literature and a dearth of PA-based, wholistic health programs for Indigenous women in Canada. More programming and research are required to address the unique health needs of Indigenous women and mitigate the legacy impacts of colonization on health

Open Access•Feng Bai, Katrina Jia Lin et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Personality•2024

OBJECTIVES: This research investigates the moral implications of trait-level moral pride and hubris, addressing prior limitations by gathering data from multiple sources. We raise two interrelated questions: (1) Do well-acquainted peers agree with their friends on judgments of trait-level moral pride and hubris? (2) Are moral pride and hubris related to divergent (im)moral outcomes, regardless of measurement sources? METHOD: We collected data fro…

Open Access•Sonja Wicklum, Erin Cameron et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2023

Objective Indigenous women experience structural barriers to wellness rooted in colonialism and related socio-political processes, making participation in physical activity and access to balanced nutrition challenging. In response, a holistic wellness program was developed in Lloydminster, Alberta, and multiple program iterations have since been completed in urban and rural (including reserve) settings in Alberta, Canada: Onion Lake Cree Nation, …
