    Performances of 82 Colombian, 87 Mexican, and 96 Venezuelan university students and adult community dwellers on Spanish translations of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 (MMPI-2) were compared. Findings suggest more comprehensive research is required on applications of the MMPI-2 in Latin America and greater consideration of the roles of culture and nationality

    Reported here are the results of a mail survey of 113 graduates from the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine. Fifty-seven had been admitted with assistance of the Special Admissions Subcommittee (SAS) and 56 had been admitted through the traditional Recruitment and Admissions Committee mechanisms.   • Community mental health ideology and personality preferences of social work students

    105 women social work graduate students completed the Edwards Personal Preference Schedule (EPPS) and the Community Mental Health Ideology (CMHI) Scale. Scores on each of the 16 EPPS variables were divided into deciles and into quartiles for comparisons with extreme scores on the CMHI Scale.   • Effects of Content on Schizophrenics' Ability to Process Information

    Davis and Harrington (1957) reported that schizophrenics were better able to process a given amount of information when the content of the task was abstract then when it was human. This finding was strengthened in the present study, but it appears that the differential task performance of the schizophrenics is likely attributed to a greater amount of irrelevant information in the human task
