I’m an okay mother”
Findings expand the scope of VIG from its original aim of increasing maternal sensitivity, to that of indirectly assisting mothers with forming a more positive and durable sense of motherhood identity. Clinical implications and suggestions for the role of video feedback interventions in maternal depression are discussed, including the need for further research on VIG interventions in this group
Differences between men and women accessing an Australian perinatal and infant mental health care navigation service—Why do fathers seek help

The retrospective observational analysis examined routinely collected data from 105 male and 203 female clients who were supported by ForWhen between February 2022 to June 2024. Patient navigation models for mental health of parents expecting or caring for an infant or young child
Patient navigation (PN) aims to improve timely access to healthcare by helping patients to “navigate” complex service provision landscapes. PN models have been applied in diverse healthcare settings including perinatal mental health (PMH). Although such systems have been well-studied in research on organisational teams, little research has examined how TMSs operate in the context of intimate relationships. In the current study, we used semi-structured interviews to ask 39 older long-married couples to describe…

She starts to be her old self again”
We investigated perceptions of identity in Alzheimer’s disease and behavioural-variant frontotemporal dementia. We asked family members of people with dementia to describe them before and after onset of the disease, comparing across type (Alzheimer’s disease versus behavioural-variant frontotemporal dementia) and time period. Family members’ perceptions of people with dementia changed over time. Compared with Alzheimer’s disease, behavioural-vari…
They're playing our song
Music has been argued to contribute to well-being in multiple ways, through its links to identity, social relationships, emotion, and memory. We investigated the phenomenon of "couple-defining songs (CDSs)," in which members of a couple come to jointly identify their relationship with a particular song. Two hundred participants who were currently in a romantic relationship, diverse in age and relationship length and status, reported whether they …
