  • Short-term association of CO and NO2 with hospital visits for glomerulonephritis in Hefei, China

Open Access•Haifeng Chen, Qiong Duan et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2023

Objective Recent studies suggest air pollution as an underlying factor to kidney disease. However, there is still limited knowledge about the short-term correlation between glomerulonephritis (GN) and air pollution. Thus, we aim to fill this research gap by investigating the short-term correlation between GN clinical visits and air pollution exposure. Methods Between 2015 and 2019, daily GN visit data from two grade A tertiary hospitals in Hefei …

  • Association between Meteorological Factors and Outpatient Visits for Herpes Zoster in Hefei, China

Open Access•Xiao-Jie Lv, Xiaojie Lv et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2023

This study sought to investigate the relationship between meteorological factors and outpatient visits for herpes zoster. In this time-series analysis, we used data from two major hospitals in Hefei, collected between 2015 and 2019, to evaluate the impact of meteorological factors on the risk of herpes zoster. After controlling for confounders, we adopted a distributed lag nonlinear model to probe the relationship between meteorological factors a…

The association of air pollutants with psoriasis, and the extent of their effects remains unclear. Methods Based on a distributed lag non-linear model, this study explored the short-term effects of air pollutants on outpatients with psoriasis in Hefei, China, between 2015 and 2019 by analyzing the exposure–lag–response relationship, after controlling…

  • Hepatitis B virus infections and risk factors among the general population in Anhui Province, China

Open Access•Xiaoqing Li, Yingjun Zheng et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2012

Though Anhui province has already reached the national goal of reducing HBsAg prevalence to less than 1% among children younger than 5 years, there are still several risk factors for HBsAg infection among the older population. Immunization programs should continue to focus on adults, and interventions should be taken to reduce risk factors associated with being infected with Hepatitis B

  • Feasibility, reliability and validity of the Chinese simplified version of the MOS-HIV health survey among Aids patients in China

Open Access•Zhangjun Huang, Zhang-Jun Huang et al.•ARTICLE•Quality of Life Research•2012
