City-wide built environment Sars-CoV-2 detection for Covid-19 surveillance
Built environment surveillance has shown promise for monitoring COVID-19 burden at granular geographic scales, but its utility for surveillance across larger areas and populations is unknown. Our study aims to evaluate the role of built environment detection of SARS-CoV-2 for the surveillance of COVID-19 across broad geographies and populations. We conducted a prospective city-wide sampling study to examine the relationship between SARS-CoV-2 on …
Walter Pater and the Beginnings of English Studies
Walter Pater's significance for the institutionalization of English studies at British universities in the nineteenth century is often overlooked. Addressing the importance of his volume Appreciations (1889) in placing English literature in both a national and an international context, this book demonstrates the indebtedness of the English essay to the French tradition and brings together the classic, the Romantic, the English and the European. W…
Measuring Activities of Daily Living in Stroke Patients with Motion Machine Learning Algorithms
Measuring activities of daily living (ADLs) using wearable technologies may offer higher precision and granularity than the current clinical assessments for patients after stroke. This study aimed to develop and determine the accuracy of detecting different ADLs using machine-learning (ML) algorithms and wearable sensors. Eleven post-stroke patients participated in this pilot study at an ADL Simulation Lab across two study visits. We collected bl…
Linking of the quality of life in neurological disorders (Neuro-QoL) to the international classification of functioning, disability and health
Relationships between environmental factors and participation in adults with traumatic brain injury, stroke, and spinal cord injury
Using the ICF’s environmental factors framework to develop an item bank measuring built and natural environmental features affecting persons with disabilities
Evaluating Psychometric Properties of the Spanish-version of the Pediatric Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy-Perceived Cognitive Function (pedsFacit-PCF)
Spanish translation and linguistic validation of the quality of life in neurological disorders (Neuro-QoL) measurement system
Confirmatory Factor Analytical Study of the Revised Developmental Work Personality Scale
This study investigated psychometric properties of the Revised Developmental Work Personality Scale (RDWPS). Results yielded a 14-item three-factor model that aligns with the original DWPS and fits the data very well. RDWPS scores were useful in predicting the resolution of Erikson’s fourth stage of development, indicating construct validity
