  • The Impact of Financial Capability on Household Economic Resilience

Open Access•Mianbi Xie, Haohan Lin et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Family Issues•2026

Based on the 2017–2019 panel data from the China Household Finance Survey (CHFS), this paper measures financial capability using the entropy method and employs a Generalized Linear Model (GLM) to dynamically assess household economic resilience to explore the relationship between financial capability and household economic resilience. The results indicate that improvements in financial capability significantly enhance household economic resilienc…

  • A meta-analysis of the correlation between self-regulated learning strategies and academic performance in online and blended learning environments

    Open Access•Yingying Zhao, Yixun Li et al.•ARTICLE•Computers & Education•2025

  • Neural oscillations induced by gamma sensory entrainment in cognitive biotype of depression

Open Access•Xiaoning Shi, Hongli Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2025

Our results confirmed the influence of gamma entrainment by sensory stimuli on neural activity in cognitive biotype of depression, and abnormal alpha power was associated with cognitive function. Furthermore, gamma sensory entrainment with the most optimum stimulus frequency could serve as a potential method to improve cognition in cognitive biotype of depression

  • Cross-frequency coupling between low frequency and gamma oscillations altered in cognitive biotype of depression

Open Access•Hongli Wang, Xiaoning Shi et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2025

These results indicated that the cross-frequency coupling between low frequency and gamma occurred in the parietal lobe in cognitive biotype of depression. These results advance the understanding of neurophysiological mechanisms underlying cognitive deficits and highlight potential biomarkers for precision depression

  • Correlations between empathy fatigue, occupational identity, and sleep quality in nursing staff

Open Access•Yingying Zhao, Xin Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2024

Objective: To investigate the status quo of empathic fatigue, professional identity, and sleep quality of nursing staff in nursing institutions. To analyze the correlation between empathic fatigue, professional identity and sleep quality of nursing staff. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study. The method of convenient sampling was used to select 224 nursing workers from the older adult's institutions in the Panjin area as the investigation obj…

  • Effects of Health Information Communication Based on Social Media Usage in Promoting HPV Vaccination Intention in China

Open Access•Ke Zhang, Jinghong Liang et al.•ARTICLE•Health & Social Care in the…•2024•References: 2

With the gradual promotion of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine in mainland China, social media has been suggested as an important channel for disseminating HPV‐related information and promoting vaccination behaviors. This study explored the mechanism that health information communication based on social media usage affects HPV vaccination intention, i.e., examining the mediating effects of external factors (information credibility and infor…

  • What is gullibility

    Open Access•Yingying Zhao, Zhiqiang Hu•ARTICLE•Synthese•2024•Cited by: 1•References: 66

  • A meta-analysis of the efficacy of self-regulated learning interventions on academic achievement in online and blended environments in K-12 and higher education

Open Access•Zhihong Xu, Yingying Zhao et al.•ARTICLE•Behaviour and Information…•2023

Numerous empirical studies, including meta-analyses, have confirmed the impact of self-regulated learning (SRL) on learners’ academic achievement in traditional or face-to-face learning environments. However, prior meta-analyses rarely examined the efficacy of SRL interventions on academic achievement in online or blended education across elementary education, secondary education, higher education, and adult education. Therefore, this meta-analys…

  • Factors associated with hospitalization times and length of stay in patients with bipolar disorder

Open Access•Xiaoning Shi, Yingying Zhao et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2023

    www.ClinicalTrials.gov, Identifier: NCT01770704

  • Association between internal migration experience and depressive symptoms

    Open Access•Zi-Xuan Liao, Xiao-Min Tan et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2023

Our findings highlight the need for greater policy attention to mental health inequalities between Internal migrants and those who never move away from their hometown in the United States. Our study provides a foundation for further research

  • Effects of breviscapine on cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury and intestinal flora imbalance by regulating the TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB signaling pathway in rats

    Open Access•Haidong Chen, Hai-Dong Chen et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2023

  • Embodied and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) in Early Childhood

Akiko Hayashi, Jeffrey Liew et al.•ARTICLE•Early Education and Development•2022

School-based Social Emotional Learning (SEL) programs emerged in North America and have not traditionally focused on embodied learning processes that are situated in the learners’ contexts and lived experiences. Thus, we present evidence and advance the case that transferable social-emotional competencies are inherently culturally responsive or situated in learners’ authentic experiences and are inherently embodied. We also introduce a conceptual…

  • Thermophysiological and Perceptual Responses of Amateur Healthcare Workers

Open Access•Yingying Zhao, Meng Su et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

While personal protective equipment (PPE) protects healthcare workers from viruses, it also increases the risk of heat stress. In this study, the effects of environmental heat stress, the insulation of the PPE inner-garment layer, and the personal cooling strategy on the physiological and perceptual responses of PPE-clad young college students were evaluated. Three levels of wet bulb globe temperatures (WBGT = 15 °C, 28 °C, and 32 °C) and two typ…

  • Reproductive health risks and HIV infection vulnerability of hostesses in metropolitan areas, China

    Dongyan Xia, D Y Xia et al.•ARTICLE•AIDS Care•2008

In this paper, we describe sex-related health risks among hostesses in two metropolises in China based on data obtained from in-depth interviews. The data show that hostesses, many engaging in commercial sex, are vulnerable to HIV infection, unwanted pregnancies and reproductive tract infections. Nevertheless, many obstacles still are present that hinder them from engaging in safe sex. The findings from our study illustrate the need for targeted …
