The Importance of Peers in Alcohol Use Among Latino Adolescents: The Role of Alcohol Expectancies and Acculturation
The present study examined the potentially mediating effect of alcohol expectancies and moderating effect of acculturation on the relationship between peer alcohol use and Latino adolescent alcohol use. Hemophilia and Aids in married men: Functioning of family members
Aspects of functioning in families of 137 hemophilic men who, in 50% of cases, were also HIV seropositive were examined in terms of psychological and physical functioning and economic pressure. Resilient adolescents and interparental conflict
Two groups of young adolescents, both experiencing high interparental conflict but differing in terms of cognitive competence, were examined for individual and family factors that might distinguish a resilient group. Adolescent self-esteem and relationship with the mother differentiated the two groups. A stress buffering model is proposed
