Impact of maternal alcoholism on separation of children from their mothers
Patterns of maternal child co-residence among 25 alcoholic women incarcerated for drunk driving are examined. Two-thirds of these mothers reported significant periods of time, not due to incarceration, when minor children did not reside with them.
