  • A success story of clinical debriefings

Open Access•Méryl Paquay, Robert Simon et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2023

The COVID-19 crisis impacted emergency departments (ED) unexpectedly and exposed teams to major issues within a constantly changing environment. We implemented post-shift clinical debriefings (CDs) from the beginning of the crisis to cope with adaptability needs. As the crisis diminished, clinicians voiced a desire to maintain the post-shift CD program, but it had to be reshaped to succeed over the long term. A strategic committee, which included…

  • Hybrid processes within parenting plan assessments

Open Access•Robert Simon, Robert A Simon et al.•ARTICLE•Family Court Review•2023

Parenting plan Assessments, also known as child custody evaluations, are forensic psychological investigations into the needs of children, the parenting capacities of their caregivers, and the resulting fit between the children's needs and caregiver capacities. • As palavras como pétalas à beira do mar

    Robert L Simon, Robert Simon•ARTICLE•Hispanic Research Journal•2015

    Robert L Simon, Robert Simon•ARTICLE•Luso-Brazilian Review•2015

Upon the comparison of two contemporary poetic works from Portugal, As palavras by António Ramos Rosa and Por outras palavras by Joaquim Pessoa, we see the presence of a clear mystical symbolism, facing the (non)utility of the poetic word, in the work of each poet. This process serves to demonstrate that there exists, in Portuguese poetry, a simultaneously activist and mystical thematic trajectory which merits a greater attention. From these myst…

  • Establishing a Safe Container for Learning in Simulation

J Rudolph, Jenny W Rudolph et al.•ARTICLE•Simulation in Healthcare: The…•2014

statement: In the absence of theoretical or empirical agreement on how to establish and maintain engagement in instructor-led health care simulation debriefings, we organize a set of promising practices we have identified in closely related fields and our own work. We argue that certain practices create a psychologically safe context for learning, a so-called safe container. Establishing a safe container, in turn, allows learners to engage active…
