Short form development for oral health patient-reported outcome evaluation in children and adolescents
Measuring quality
These National Quality Forum endorsed measures provide valid methodologies for assessing the rate of caries-related ED visits, an important system-level outcome indicator of outpatient prevention and disease management, and the timeliness of follow-up with a dentist. There is significant variation in caries-related ED visits among state Medicaid programs, and most ED visits do not have follow-up with a dentist within 30 days
Child and adolescent perceptions of oral health over the life course
Developing and testing pediatric oral healthcare quality measures

Objective: Accessing dental care is a significant problem for children in Medic‐aid and SCHIP Evaluating the extent of the access problem is affected by the differential dental utilization rates as calculated by unique approaches used by national organizations. The problem is related to the intermittent enrollment in Medicaid and SCHIP for many children during the year. The objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of four different appro…
Oral Health Status of Mississippi Delta 3– to 5‐Year‐Olds in Child Care
Conducting oral health exams and research in child care venues was possible, yet presented challenges. Implementation of oral health programs and research in child care venues merits further exploration
Classical Test Theory and Item Response Theory Analyses of Multi-Item Scales Assessing Parents?? Perceptions of Their Children??s Dental Care

Relationships Between Price and Two Components of Quality of Dental Services
Failure to account for differences in service attributes can lead to biased estimates and erroneous inferences regarding relationships between price and quality in studies of the dental care delivery system. This study examined relationships between prices of several common dental procedures and two components of the structure and process dimensions used in quality of care assessments. Results from ordinary least squares regression analysis demon…
