  • Peanut/sorghum intercropping drives specific variation in peanut rhizosphere soil properties and microbiomes under salt stress

Open Access•Xiaolong Shi, Yufei Zhou et al.•ARTICLE•Land Degradation and Development•2023

Intercropping can promote positive plant–soil interactions resulting in improved nutrient availability and ecological fitness, with microbes playing a key role. However, the specific effects of peanut/sorghum intercropping on soil properties and microbial community remain unclear, especially under salt stress conditions. In this study, sole‐cropped peanut (SP) and intercropped peanut (IP) with sorghum in a field planting box experiment were perfo…

Jonathan Arnold, Xinhua Zhao et al.•ARTICLE•Medical Care•2021•Referências: 14

BACKGROUND: Most states have recently passed laws requiring prescribers to use prescription drug monitoring programs (PDMPs) before prescribing opioid medications. The impact of these mandates on discontinuing chronic opioid therapy among Veterans managed in the Veterans Health Administration (VA) is unknown. We assess the association between the earliest of these laws and discontinuation of chronic opioid therapy in Veterans receiving VA health …

  • Experiences of Perceived Gender-based Discrimination Among Women Veterans

Serena MacDonald, Dino Guido Rinoldi et al.•ARTICLE•Medical Care•2020•Referências: 35

One third of women Veterans perceived gender-based discrimination in VA. Obtaining most medical care from the same VA provider and having a women's health clinic at one's VA were associated with less perceived discrimination

    Open Access•Tierney Wolgemuth, Tierney E Wolgemuth et al.•ARTICLE•Women s Health Issues•2019

  • Associations Between Perceived Susceptibility to Pregnancy and Contraceptive Use in a National Sample of Women Veterans

    Open Access•Laura E Britton, Colleen Judge-Golden et al.•ARTICLE•Perspectives on Sexual and…•2019•Citada por: 3•Referências: 1

Identifying and addressing fertility misperceptions among women with low perceived susceptibility to pregnancy could help promote informed decision making about contraception and reduce the risk of unintended pregnancy

  • Associations between Pregnancy Intention, Attitudes, and Contraceptive Use among Women Veterans in the Ecuun Study

    Open Access•Tierney Wolgemuth, Colleen Judge-Golden et al.•ARTICLE•Women s Health Issues•2018

  • Impact of Dual Use of Department of Veterans Affairs and Medicare Part D Drug Benefits on Potentially Unsafe Opioid Use

Walid F Gellad, Joshua M Thorpe et al.•ARTICLE•American Journal of Public Health•2018•Referências: 36

Objectives. To estimate the prevalence and consequences of receiving prescription opioids from both the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Medicare Part D. Methods. Among US veterans enrolled in both VA and Part D filling 1 or more opioid prescriptions in 2012 (n = 539 473), we calculated 3 opioid safety measures using morphine milligram equivalents (MME): (1) proportion receiving greater than 100 MME for 1 or more days, (2) mean days receiv…

  • Change of urinary fluoride and bone metabolism indicators in the endemic fluorosis areas of southern china after supplying low fluoride public water

Open Access•Shaoxian Chen, Boling Li et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2013

Our results suggest that supplying low fluoride public water in Southern China is successful as measured by the reduction of fluoride in water and urine, and changes in various bone indicators to normal levels. A comparison of four bone indicators showed CT and BGP to be the most sensitive indicators
