The Problem of Transportation to Medical Facilities on an Indian Reservation
Inadequate means of transporting patients to central medical facilities remains a large impediment to the delivery of medical care on the Navajo Indian Reservation. The extent of the problem was studied at the Tuba City PHS Hospital by direct interviews with out patients. No organized system of public transportation was found.
