Glucagon-Like Peptide-1 Receptor Agonist Order Fills and Out-of-Pocket Costs by Race, Ethnicity, and Indication
This cohort study examines how often glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist orders are filled, the out-of-pocket cost per prescription, and differences by patient race and ethnicity or indication among patients with insurance

Medicare Enrollment and Spending Among Patients Initiating Dialysis After the Affordable Care Act

Trends in Dialysis Industry Consolidation After Medicare Payment Reform, 2006-2016
In this cohort study of continental US Medicare-certified dialysis facilities, small-chain and independently owned facilities retained a declining share of the dialysis market. Further research should evaluate the effect of continued dialysis market consolidation on patient access, health care utilization, and clinical outcomes

Medicare's 2011 bundled dialysis prospective payment system encouraged expansion of home-based PD with unclear impacts on patient outcomes. This paper revisits the comparative risk of mortality between HD and PD among patients with incident end-stage kidney disease initiating dialysis in…
