The Paediatric Optometry Alignment Program (POAP) was developed in response to uncontrollable demand for paediatric ophthalmology services, and consequent an excessive outpatient waiting list in Queensland’s only dedicated children’s hospital (Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital, LCCH).
