  • Tartu Radiocarbon Dates VIII

    Open Access•E Ilves•ARTICLE•Radiocarbon•1978

The present list includes 66 dates of geologic samples determined using the liquid-scintillation 14 C metod at the Geobiochemical Laboratory of the Institute of Zoology and Botany, Academy of Sciences, Estonian SSR. Benzene synthesized from wood dating from 1850 ± 10 yr served as a reference standard. All radiocarbon dates have been calculated using 5568 ± 30 yr before ad 1950 as the half-life of 14 C

  • Tartu Radiocarbon Dates VI

    Open Access•E Ilves•ARTICLE•Radiocarbon•1976

The present list includes 35 dates of geologic samples analyzed at the Geobiochemical Laboratory of the Institute of Zoology and Botany, Academy of Sciences, Estonian SSR. Benzene synthesized from wood dating from 1850 ± 10 yr served as a reference standard. All radiocarbon dates have been calculated using 5568 ± 30 yr before ad 1950 as the half-life of 14 C

  • Tartu Radiocarbon Dates V

    Open Access•J M Punning, E Ilves et al.•ARTICLE•Radiocarbon•1971•Cited by: 1•References: 4

The following list includes samples dated in 1968 and 1969. Wood dating from A.D. 1850 ± 10 yr is used as contemporary reference standard. Background sample is synthesized from anthracite or shungite. All radiocarbon dates were calculated with C 14 half-life of 5568 ± 30 yr. All dates are calculated from the year 1950

  • Tartu Radiocarbon Dates IV

    Open Access•E Ilves, J-M Punning et al.•ARTICLE•Radiocarbon•1970•Cited by: 4•References: 1

The following list includes C 14 dates and deals with the results of the methodological investigations carried out at the Geobiochemical Laboratory of the Institute of Zoology and Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Estonian SSR in 1967–1968

  • Tartu Radiocarbon Dates I (Revisions)

    Open Access•A Liiva, E Ilves et al.•ARTICLE•Radiocarbon•1968•References: 1

This material was digitized as part of a cooperative project between Radiocarbon and the University of Arizona Libraries

  • Tartu Radiocarbon Dates III

    Open Access•J M Punning, J-M Punning et al.•ARTICLE•Radiocarbon•1968•Cited by: 2•References: 1

In dating the samples reported here as well as in calculating their ages, the same equipment and method of processing and counting were used which were previously described in Tartu I and II

  • Tartu Radiocarbon Dates II

    Open Access•J M Punning, E Ilves et al.•ARTICLE•Radiocarbon•1968•Cited by: 2

The following list includes samples dated between 1956 and 1961. Wood dating from A.D. 1850 ± 10 yr is used as a contemporary reference standard. Background sample is synthesized from anthracite. All radiocarbon dates were calculated with the hall-life of C 14 being equal to 5568 ± 30 yr. All dates are calculated from the year 1950

  • Tartu Radiocarbon Dates I

    Open Access•A Liiva, E Ilves et al.•ARTICLE•Radiocarbon•1966•Cited by: 10

Preparations for the development of a laboratory for the determination of absolute age by the radiocarbon method were started at the Geobiochemical Laboratory of the Institute of Zoology and Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Estonian SSR in 1957. Dating of various carbon-containing specimens has been carried out since 1959
