  • Vegetation and climate changes around the Lama Lake, Taymyr Peninsula, Russia during the Late Pleistocene and Holocene

    Open Access•A A Andreev, P E Tarasov et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2004

  • Climate changes in East Europe and Siberia at the Late glacial–holocene transition

    Open Access•A A Velichko, N Catto et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2002

  • Vegetation and climate in the lower reaches of the Yana River during the Holocene

    A Andreyev, V A Klimanov et al.•ARTICLE•Polar Geography•2001

The Holocene climate history of the region near the mouth of the Yana River in Yakutia (Sakha Republic) is reconstructed from two sections of the Kazach'ye and Khocho peat bogs along the banks of the Yana River. Spore‐pollen analysis and an information‐statistical method are used to reconstruct temperature and precipitation histories that are compared with present‐day conditions

  • New Data on Chronology of Landscape-Paleoclimatic Stages in Northwestern Russia During the Late Glacial and Holocene

    Open Access•Kh A Arslanov, L A Savelieva et al.•ARTICLE•Radiocarbon•2001•Referencias: 2

Two lake and bog sediments have been thoroughly studied using palynological and radiocarbon dating methods. These are the Lembolovskoye Lake section located in the southern part of the Karelian Ithmus and the Mshinskoye bog section located in the southwestern part of the Leningrad province. The data obtained allow us to reconstruct the main features of the vegetation cover evolution, the chronology for the appearance and a real distribution of th…

  • Chronology of Vegetation and Paleoclimatic Stages of Northwestern Russia During the Late Glacial and Holocene

    Open Access•Kh A Arslanov, L A Saveljeva et al.•ARTICLE•Radiocarbon•1999•Citada por: 4•Referencias: 2

We have studied 6 reference sections of bog and lake sediments in the Leningrad and Novgorod provinces to develop a geochronological scale for vegetational and paleoclimatic changes in northwestern Russia during the Late Glacial and Holocene. Every 10-cm layer along the peat and gyttja sections (4–8.5 m thick) was investigated palynologically and the great majority of them were radiocarbon dated. Using the data obtained, standard palynological di…
