  • Unconventional Offices, Workplace Design Affecting Millennials & Gen-Z Involvement in Office

    Open Access•Shubha Suryavanshi, T K Mandal•ARTICLE•ShodhKosh: Journal of Visual and…•2024

Attracting and retaining members of Generation Z and Millennials is crucial for organizations to flourish in today's competitive business climate. Published studies have shown that an employee's degree of engagement is directly correlated to their work performance (Cook, 2008; Brill et al., 2000). However, compared to previous generations, Millennials and Gen Z are the most disengaged workers today. Specifically, Gallup (2018) reports that out of…

  • Indian Television Advertisements

Open Access•T K Mandal, Tapan Mandal•ARTICLE•ShodhKosh: Journal of Visual and…•2023

Advertising is an audio-visual form of cultural artifact that not only seeks to generate increased consumption of their products or services through ‘branding’ and ‘standardization’ of the products but also passes some normative ideas, standardized social values and symbolic meaning to the consumers. So, it has a dialogic and reciprocal relationship with other cultural institutions like family, religion, arts, literature and music, which reflects…

  • Reconciliation of energy use disparities in brick production in India

Open Access•Kushal Tibrewal, Chandra Venkataraman et al.•ARTICLE•Nature Sustainability•2023•Cited by: 1

Energy conservation in brick production is crucial to achieving net-zero carbon emissions from the building sector, especially in countries with major expansions in the built environment. However, widely disparate energy consumption estimates impede benchmarking its importance relative to the steel and cement industries. Here we modelled Indian brick production and its regional energy consumption by combining a nationwide questionnaire survey on …

  • Antimicrobial Activity Of Some Indian Medicinal Plants

Open Access•Rajesh Dabur, Ankur Gupta et al.•ARTICLE•African Journal of Traditional…•2008

The antimicrobial potential of seventy-seven extracts from twenty-four plants was screened against eight bacteria and four pathogenic fungi, using microbroth dilution assay. Lowest concentration of the extract, which inhibits any visual microbial growth after treatment with p-iodonitrotetrazolium violet, was considered to be minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC). Water extracts of Acacia nilotica, Justicia zelanica, Lantana camara and Saraca aso…

  • Birbal Sahni Institute Radiocarbon Measurements III

    Open Access•G Rajagopalan, B Sekar Vishnu-Mittre et al.•ARTICLE•Radiocarbon•1982•Cited by: 1•References: 3

The radiocarbon dates reported in this date list cover the measurements carried out in 1979 to 1980. Chemical and counting procedures are the same as reported earlier (R, 1978, v 20, p 398–404). Age calculations are based on the conventional 14 C half-life (5570 yr) and on the contemporary value of 95% of the activity of NBS oxalic acid. Errors quoted correspond to 1 σ value which takes into account the counting statistics, the uncertainty in the…
