The Danish Slave Trade and Its Abolition
In The Danish Slave Trade and Its Abolition, Erik Gøbel offers an account of the well-documented Danish transatlantic slave trade. Danish Shipping Along the Triangular Route, 1671–1802

From the 1660s to 1802 such triangular route expeditions were also carried out under the Danish flag, making up almost 1% of the total trade. Thanks to well preserved archival sources many Danish triangular voyages can be described in detail. This article discusses the Danish voyages and compares them to those of other nations, with regard to nu…

In addition to these, it ruled over the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Greenland, as well as small but economically important tropical possessions in India, on the Gold Coast in Africa and in the Caribbean.
