  • Teacher Beliefs About Sustainable Agriculture: A Self-made Measurement Scale

Open Access•Mathew Muma, Robert Martin et al.•ARTICLE•Asian Social Science•2020

The study’s purpose was to analyze the validity of the construct of a self-made Alternative-Conventional Agricultural Paradigm scale using the teacher population teaching high school agriculture in the North Central Region of the USA. A random sample of 844 teachers was drawn. Teachers were self-administered questionnaires with 5-point Likert-type scales. Instrument inter-item consistency and item coherence were determined. The relatively high co…

  • Human stature in the Near East and Europe ca. 10,000–1000 BC: Its spatiotemporal development in a Bayesian errors-in-variables model

    Open Access•Eva Rosenstock, Julia Ebert et al.•ARTICLE•Archaeological and Anthropological…•2019•Cited by: 12•References: 77

A sample of 6098 published prehistoric skeletons consisting of long bone lengths, stature estimated from them using three different methods, as well as recalculated stature data created with other methods, was used to model tempo-spatial variance of stature in the Holocene prehistory of the Near East and Europe. Bayesian additive mixed modeling with errors-in-variables was applied, fitting a global spatiotemporal trend using a tensor product spli…

  • Comparison of Wisc-R Performance of Urban and Rural Special Education Students

    Open Access•John D Morris, Edith Kelsey et al.•ARTICLE•Psychological Reports•1980

The relationship between WISC-R subtest profiles and geographic environment (urban or rural) for 178 special education (Learning Disabled and Educable Mentally Handicapped) students (54 females and 124 males; 114 Negroes and 64 Caucasians), ranging in age from 6 yr., 3 mo. to 15 yr., was explored in relation to the children's race and specific type of disability. Urban children performed significantly better than rural children on all subtests ex…

  • Subtest Order and Wisc-R Scores of a Sample of Educable Mentally Retarded Subjects

    Open Access•John D Morris, Robert A Martin et al.•ARTICLE•Psychological Reports•1978

All the Verbal subtests of the WISC-R were administered first, then all the Performance subtests, and in standard order to 56 educable mentally retarded children (31 males and 25 females; 43 Negroes and 13 Caucasians) ranging in age from 6 yr. 9 mo. to 16 yr. 8 mo. Verbal, Performance, and Full Scale IQs were slightly but significantly higher when subtests were administered in the standard order. Implications for previous contrasts of WISC and WI…
