New Holy Rider Amulets
This paper presents six previously unpublished apotropaic amulets-two haematite magical gems, two bronze leaf-shaped pendants, and two circular bronze medallions-drawn from both public museum holdings and private collections. Each object bears Greek inscriptions and the “Holy Rider” visual motif, a forerunner of the numerous Warrior Saints of later ages.
