  • Forecasting municipal water demands

Open Access•Hanyu Liu, Rui Xing et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Cities and Society•2025

Urban population growth, climate change, and uncertainty about future technologies, behaviors, and policies have made long-term municipal water demand forecasting increasingly complex. This study introduces the Edmonton Water Demand Simulator (EWDS), a novel hybrid model that integrates system dynamics, artificial neural networks, and regression techniques to forecast municipal water demand at a weekly scale through 2100. The EWDS was validated a…

  • Musical communication in social networks

    Open Access•Haoran Pang, Hanyu Liu•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica•2025•References: 20

The study aims to explore how social media interaction can improve social relationships and technical music skills. The study involved 364 participants, divided into two groups: an experimental group that engaged in music through social networks, and a control group that engaged in musical activities without using these networks. The methods of data collection were the Interpersonal Relationship Scale and a musical technique test, followed by ind…

  • Risk factors for psychiatric disorders following traumatic brain injury

Open Access•Hanyu Liu, Yi Tao et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2024

Unemployment, lower GCS score on admission, limb injury, post-traumatic coma, frontal lobe injury, onset of psychiatric symptoms during hospitalization was identified as independent predictors of post-traumatic psychiatric disorders. Routine mental health screenings for conditions such as depression and anxiety should be integrated into the care of TBI patients

  • Effect of auditory stimulus on distance compression in virtual reality

Xiaofei Hu, Jiawei Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2023

  • Trends and Factors Associated With Risk Perception, Anxiety, and Behavior From the Early Outbreak Period to the Controlled Period of Covid-19 Epidemic

Open Access•Bei Liu, Hanyu Liu et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2022

Background: The first wave of the COVID-19 epidemic in China was brought under with 3 months—from mid-January 2020 to the end of March 2020. Less studies examined dynamic psychological effect and behaviors during COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to examine perceived risk, anxiety, and behavioral response of the general public related to the outbreak of COVID-19 in four cross-sectional surveys conducted throughout China. Methods: In 2020, four c…

  • The contributions of soil biochemical characteristics and soil organic carbon (SOC) structure to SOC mineralization rate during forest succession on the Loess Plateau, China

Open Access•Qi Zhang, Yingyi Liu et al.•ARTICLE•Land Degradation and Development•2022

Soil organic carbon (SOC) mineralization is a process driven by microorganisms and is considered to be one of the main forms of carbon loss in land restoration. However, the interaction of SOC structures and bacteria that drive SOC mineralization remain unclear. Therefore, four forest succession stages were investigated on the Loess Plateau of Northern China: (1) primary stage Betula platyphylla (BP); (2) transitional stage which were two mixed c…
