Abnormal resting-state effective connectivity of triple network predicts smoking motivations among males
This study revealed aberrant causal connectivity in triple network and clarified the potential neural mechanism of smoking behavior driven by physical dependence. These findings suggested that a network-derived indicator could be a potential bio-marker of TUD and help to identify the heterogeneity in the motivation of smoking behavior
Abnormal intrahemispheric and interhemispheric dynamic functional connectivity density in male alcohol use disorder
The results indicate that brain regions associated with the salience network, default mode network, and visual network exhibited intrahemispheric and interhemispheric abnormal functional connectivity. This study underscores that dynamic metrics can provide overlapping or complementary information alongside static metrics, contributing to a more comprehensive understanding of neural activity in AUD
The abnormality of brain functional connectivity networks in first-episode schizophrenia and association with psychological and physiological stress
Our findings provided new insights about how schizophrenic's functional connectome operates and highlighted the importance of incorporating information on stress upon understanding such disorders. Importantly, brain-behavior correlations should be interpreted cautiously due to the small sample size. Further studies should examine changes of functional connectivity or stress level over time
