  • In a narcotic trance, or stimulants in Germanic communities of the Roman period

    Open Access•Anna Jarosz-Wilkołazka, Andrzej Kokowski et al.•ARTICLE•Praehistorische Zeitschrift•2025

The authors concluded that the spoon-ended fittings of the ends of the belt may have served as dispensers of stimulants for Germanic warriors to fight Germanic warriors into battle. They collated 241 such objects, dividing them typologically. It turned out that all of them were found together with elements of war equipment. • Hasenfibeln im Barbaricum

Open Access•Andrzej Kokowski, Romka Bartkowiak et al.•ARTICLE•Archaeologia Austriaca•2024

  • Gothic migrations

    Andrzej Kokowski•ARTICLE•Praehistorische Zeitschrift•2022•Cited by: 2

Gothic migrations have been repeatedly discussed by historians, archaeologists, anthropologists, and linguists, with the literature on the subject comprising over 1,400 articles and monographs. The interpretation of the notion of Goths has evolved from seeing them as a nation to a multi-ethnic formation. Archaeology therefore distinguishes four Gothic cultures: the Wielbark culture, the Masłomęcz group, the Tschernjachov culture and the Sântana d…

  • Pendeloque de Krusza Zamkowa (Pologne)

    Andrzej Kokowski•ARTICLE•Etudes Celtiques•1991

    Open Access•Andrzej Kokowski•ARTICLE•Acta Universitatis Lodziensis…•1991•Cited by: 1

The author of the article discusses the set of objects excavated from the crematory grave in the village Orońsko situated in the Radom province. Taking into consideration ground observation of the very damaged grave and the degree of burnt vessels and the fact of the bend of a sword one can suppose that it was the crematory grave from the older Roman period typical for the Przeworsk culture. The most interesting element of investigated set ist th…

  • Zagadnienie kręgów kamiennych w środkowej strefie Pojezierza Pomorskiego

    Open Access•Andrzej Kokowski•ARTICLE•Acta Universitatis Lodziensis…•1987•Cited by: 1
