A group of part‐time day release engineering students in three local technical colleges were given a verbal and a non‐verbal intelligence test early in their first year, and half way through their third year. Statistically significant gains were made on the verbal test at all levels of initial score. Placement Problems Among Engineering Apprentices in Part‐time Technical College Courses

Scores on two intelligence and two attainment tests obtained by 678 engineering students in four technical colleges gave a multiple R of 0·51 with success in the first year examination of the Ordinary National Certificate.
