The Relationship of Grade, Sex, Ability and Socio‐economic Status to Parent, Peer and School Affiliation
S ummary . A measure of affiliation to parents, peers and school was administered to a sample of 1379 subjects of both sexes, aged between 11 and 17 years. A principal component analysis of the scores on the inventory produced three clearly separated components, one for each reference group.
