  • Methane pyrolysis-enabled production of high-value carbon fibres

Open Access•Tangyuan Li, Canhui Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Nature Sustainability•2026

  • Differentiated Carbon Stabilization Pathways Reveal Cropland Promotes Maoc in the Yellow River Sediment‐Affected Area

Open Access•Ran Wang, Junhua Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Land Degradation and Development•2026

Soil organic carbon (SOC) fractions play a crucial role in regulating biogeochemical cycles and carbon sequestration processes. However, in ecologically fragile regions such as the Yellow River sediment‐affected area, the long‐term dynamics and turnover mechanisms of particulate organic carbon (POC) and mineral‐associated organic carbon (MAOC) under different land‐use types remain unclear. Based on the 2013 and 2023 field samples, we examined pla…

  • How to cope with the negative health information avoidance behavior in a pandemic

Jiayu Liu, He Li et al.•ARTICLE•Behaviour and Information…•2025

While social media has become an increasingly important channel for updating risk news and getting early warnings in the pandemic, it has also led to an information overload and misinformation which has been shown to trigger negative emotions and impact mental health. Emotional state and cognitive characteristics are crucial factors that contribute to information avoidance. In this paper, we integrate the S-S-O framework with Resilience Theory to…

  • Single video games improve cognitive functioning in college students

Open Access•Chuangtao Li, Xiaodan Guo et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2025

Cognitively engaging video games can effectively enhance the cognitive abilities of male college students. The underlying mechanism may be closely related to the promotion of prefrontal lobe activation by video games, which in turn improves reflective ability, processing speed, and decision-making levels

  • The impact of empowerment theory-based health education on Alzheimer’s disease informal caregivers

Open Access•Xiaofeng Liu, Shurui Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2024

Background There is a lack of evidence regarding the effectiveness of empowerment healthy education for caregivers of Alzheimer’s patients. Objective To explore the effectiveness of the intervention of health education guided by empowerment theory on dementia knowledge, caregiving readiness, positive caregiving emotions, anxiety, and depression in informal Alzheimer’s disease caregivers. Design A single-blinded, randomized controlled trial. Setti…

  • Newly Acquired Burnout During the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) Pandemic

Open Access•Dean Akinleye, Meng Wu et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Community Health•2024

  • Living arrangements, health lifestyles, and health outcomes among Chinese oldest-old

Open Access•Jie Wang, Lanxi Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2023

Background: Prior literature has documented a strong correlation between living arrangements and older adults' health outcomes. However, few studies have explained why this association exists. This study took the health lifestyle theory approach and brought health lifestyles into the link between living arrangements and Chinese oldest-old health outcomes. It examined (1) whether healthy lifestyle behaviors among the oldest-old varied by household…

  • Measurement of Tourism-Related CO2 Emission and the Factors Influencing Low-Carbon Behavior of Tourists

Open Access•Jing Wu, Shen Wang et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2023

In the fight against climate change, future policy directions in the transition toward a green travel- and tourism-based economy include improving tourism-derived CO 2 emission levels and guiding individual low-carbon behavior. In China, people tend to engage in outdoor adventure travel and cultural tourism in natural areas. However, limited information is available on the empirical evaluation of energy use and the CO 2 emissions associated with …

  • Partnership between Chinese Dance Sport Couples

Open Access•Xiuxia Liu, Yang Guan et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

The aim of our study was to explore the conceptions related to partnership between dance sport couples. We conducted in-depth interviews with 20 registered athletes of the Chinese Dance Sports Federation (CDSF) about partnership between dance couples, using the Consensual Qualitative Research (CQR) method. Results revealed that partnership tended to stem from seven domains: (1) mutual understanding, (2) instant intimacy, (3) long-term affection, …

  • Effects of Aerobic Exercise Combined with Attentional Bias Training on Cognitive Function and Psychiatric Symptoms of Individuals with Methamphetamine Dependency

Open Access•Xiaoxia Liu, Xiao-xia Liu et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of Mental…•2021

  • Intervention of adolescent' mental health during the outbreak of Covid-19 using aerobic exercise combined with acceptance and commitment therapy

    Open Access•Wenxin Xu, XU Wen-xin et al.•ARTICLE•Children and Youth Services Review•2021•References: 23

  • Development and validation of a Chinese version of the Eustress–Distress Psychological Response Scale

Open Access•Shen Yan-e, Yane Shen et al.•ARTICLE•Social Behavior and Personality…•2020

A measure with satisfactory psychometric properties to address if stress is eustress or distress remains undeveloped in the cultural context of China. Thus, we revised and validated a Chinese version of the Eustress–Distress Psychological Response Scale (CEDPRS), examining the structure and indicators of eustress and distress with 1,079 undergraduate students in China. We found that the CEDPRS is best explained using a 2-factor second-order model…

  • Mid-21st century ozone air quality and health burden in China under emissions scenarios and climate change

    Open Access•Daniel M Westervelt, C T et al.•ARTICLE•Environmental Research Letters•2019

Despite modest emissions reductions of air pollutants in recent years, China still suffers from poor air quality, and the outlook for future air quality in China is uncertain. We explore the impact of two disparate 2050 emissions scenarios relative to 2015 in the context of a changing climate with the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory Atmospheric Model version 3 (GFDL-AM3) chemistry-climate model. We impose the same near-term climate change f…

  • Implementation intentions improve exercise self-efficacy and exercise behavior regardless of task difficulty

Open Access•Shen Wang, Wang Shen et al.•ARTICLE•Social Behavior and Personality…•2019

Previous scholars have demonstrated that implementation intentions have positive effects on exercise self-efficacy and exercise behaviors; however, others have found little evidence to support these results. Task difficulty has been deemed a key factor that may contribute to these discrepant findings. Therefore, we examined the effects of implementation intentions on exercise self-efficacy and exercise behavior under different task difficulty con…

  • Surveillance of Hepatitis E Virus Contamination in Shellfish in China

Open Access•Shenyang Gao, Dandan Li et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2015

13 different sub-genotype 4 HEVs were found in contaminated shellfish in the Bohai Gulf rim. The findings suggest that a health risk may exist for users of waters in the Bonhai area and to consumers of shellfish. Further research is needed to assess the sources and infectivity of HEV in these settings, and to evaluate additional shellfish harvesting areas
