  • Effects of harmony on cooperation in the context of conflicts of benefits

Jingyi SHU, Yaxin BAO et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2026

  • Divergent versus convergent creativity in children

Shujin Zhou, Yuxuan Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Psychology of Aesthetics…•2026

  • Global, regional, and national burden of Parkinson’s disease 1990–2021

Open Access•Jiacheng Wang, Yuping Zou et al.•ARTICLE•Critical Public Health•2026

To present Parkinson’s disease (PD) burden for 204 countries and territories from 1990 to 2021, and further analyze the relationship of burden with socio-demographic index (SDI), age, sex, and risk factors. The burden of PD was analyzed using data from the Global Burden of Diseases (GBD). Average annual percentage change (AAPC) was used to show annual changes. Bayesian age-period-cohort (BAPC) analysis illustrated future burden. Mendelian randomi…

  • Association between insecticide exposomics and cognitive function in older adults

Open Access•Mengfan Zhang, Mingming Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2025

Objective This study aims to investigate the association between exposure to insecticide exposomics and cognitive function, among adults aged 60 and above. Methods We employed a multi-stage probability sampling method to analyze data derived from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) conducted between 2011 and 2014. The study investigated the impact of insecticides exposure on cognitive performance, as measured by the Cons…

  • Global, regional, and national burden of four major neurological diseases in women from 1990 to 2021

Open Access•Xiaofang Guo, Xinghua Liu et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2025

Background: The burden of neurological diseases in women is underestimated. This study aimed to estimate the pattern and trend of four major nervous system diseases in women. Methods: Utilizing data from the GBD Study 2021 on the incidence and disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and other dementias, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and idiopathic epilepsy in women from 1990 to 2021. We estimated trends by ag…

  • Behavioral observation and assessment protocol for language and social-emotional development study in children aged 0–6

Open Access•Xinpei Xu, Zhixin Wang et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Psychology•2024

This study was registered with clinicaltrials.gov NCT05040542 on September 10, 2021

  • Investigation of the relationship between lead exposure in heavy metals mixtures and the prevalence of stroke

Open Access•Jiarong He, Wen Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2024

These findings indicate a notable contribution of Pb exposure to stroke risk, highlighting inflammation as a significant intermediary mechanism in the Pb exposure-stroke association

  • Joint Developmental Trajectories of Novelty and Usefulness in Chinese Children’s Creativity

Open Access•Shujin Zhou, Xinpei Xu et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Youth and Adolescence•2024•References: 64

  • Sadness-counteracts-joy versus distraction and reappraisal in the down-regulation of positive emotion

  • Evolution of Habitat Quality and Its Response to Topographic Gradient Effect in a Karst Plateau

Open Access•Bo Xie, Shunbing Meng et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

Habitat quality (HQ) is widely considered to be a proxy indicator for biodiversity. Assessing the dynamic changes in HQ induced by land-use and land-cover (LULC) changes could provide a scientific perspective for regional sustainable development, especially in the ecologically fragile karst plateau mountainous areas. We selected nine landscape metrics to examine LULC dynamics in the Key Biodiversity Conservation Project Area of Wuling Mountains i…

  • Role of Alexithymia in Predicting Internet Novel Addiction through Boredom Proneness

Open Access•Yuying Liu, Lei Chen et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

With the development of the internet, people's pursuit of reading entertainment has enriched internet novels, but the relevant influencing factors are still unclear. Therefore, we recruited 344 Chinese college students and employed a questionnaire survey to explore the relationship between alexithymia, boredom proneness, and internet novel addiction. The results showed that (1) there was no significant difference between female and male college s…
